Distributed Products Manager – Marketing

Job Summary
This is a department staff position responsible for management of all distributed product lines, as well as other miscellaneous product lines as directed by upper management. This position is also responsible for properly researching and making recommendations for new product line growth to management. The primary role of this position is to increase sales for the company through the execution of these activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in a logical fashion to properly manage existing and future distributed product lines.
  • Must have the ability to work on management directed product line related projects in a periodically unsupervised manner in order to complete said projects. Projects are to be completed in a timely fashion as mutually agreed upon by all involved with the project(s).
  • Secure competitive product sourcing information, including corresponding pricing models as directed or mutually agreed upon by management. Be able to assemble information in a logical and analytical manner for presentation and analysis.
  • Track and analyze existing product line sales. Have the ability to increase product sales by proper distribution practices and methodology. Conversely, must be able to recommend the elimination of ineffective products or product lines if practical.
  • Recommend new product line opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain and report project status weekly to supervisor.
  • Initiate projects independently, and with management approval, based on research and analysis done throughout other projects or findings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of industry related distribution experience, with the ability to demonstrate product line market share / sales increases.
  • Have above average aptitude with PC operations, including internet operations, Word, Excel, and Access software programs.
  • Excellent math, statistical, and analytical skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to perform duties while sitting for prolonged periods at a desk station setting.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Occasionally
  • Must be able to perform duties safely in an office and plant environment.

About the Company
Seastrom Mfg. is a 77-year old family-owned company. Our core product line consists of 60,000 plus varieties of metallic and non-metallic hardware. We have added a retail division called Purely Custom, which specializes in custom-made items for recreational vehicles and collector cars and trucks. Purely Custom's growth has exploded, and new products are being added monthly, along with personnel.

Twin Falls is located in south-central Idaho, surrounded by recreation areas. With Sun Valley, the Sawtooth Mountains, and Boise City to the north and Salt Lake City to the south, the area is rich with opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast, and culture lovers. Twin Falls is a fast-growing community, steeped in family-oriented traditions. The current population is just under 40,000. The College of Southern Idaho (CSI), a junior college with an outstanding reputation, is situated in town.
